By signing up for the Services or providing us with your personal information for any other purpose, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This policy will help you understand the types of information we collect from you, the purpose for which the information is collected; how the information is used; the intended recipients of such information; and how the information is protected. For the purposes of this policy, "personal information" means any information that can be used to identify you personally.
1. Using DhanSaarthi as a Visitor
If you are a first-time visitor to DhanSaarthi:
- We collect technical data about your interaction with the Services. This is data we get from your use of our services. We collect certain data about your interaction with our website, such as pages visited and average time spent on the website, your internet protocol address, the unique identifier of your device and device information such as operating system, operating system version, browser plugins, crashes, system activity, hardware settings, date and time of your request and referral URL, and cookies that may uniquely identify your browser and mobile application.
- We use this data to analyse how you use our website and together with similar data from other visitors improve the services provided through the website.
- You cannot access any section or features of DhanSaarthi without registering or disclosing any personal information.
2. Using DhanSaarthi as a Registered User
If you have provided us with your email address and/or phone number:
- You are a registered user of DhanSaarthi.
- You may be asked to give us additional information in order to use certain features of the Services. For example, to avail the functionality of our investment services and start investing, you will be required to provide us with certain additional information (which may be personal or non-personal), such as:
- i. Contact details including name, father’s name, age, e-mail address, etc.
- ii. Demographic data including mailing / communication postal address, pin code, etc.
- iii. Bank account details with which you will be investing.
- iv. Any other documents required pursuant to KYC norms under applicable laws of India.
- We further need photographic evidence verifying your bank account such as image of the first page of the passbook or any cancelled cheque in order to verify that the bank account belongs to you. Further, you will be required to share your correct banking details with us as any money withdrawn by you shall directly get deposited to your concerned bank account, as provided by you. We may also ask for additional personal information from time to time to meet new or any amended regulatory requirements or to provide you with other benefits of our Services as mutually agreed.
- In case you wish to track investments made outside DhanSaarthi, we will require your e-mail addresses registered with the mutual fund folios. We use this email address to generate and deliver your mutual fund account statements that will be delivered to your inbox. Our systems automatically read the relevant email with the subject “CONSOLIDATED ACCOUNT STATEMENT - CAMS/KARVY Mail back Request” to process your investment information seamlessly and display it on the website for you to track. We assure you that emails with any other subject apart from the one mentioned above are not read/opened by us. In case, you do not wish to provide us with your email address registered with the mutual funds, you will be required to manually upload your investment related information on our application to access our services and keep track of the investments made without using our platform.
- DhanSaarthi shall ensure that your personal information or data shall be collected only with your prior consent, and that it shall be used or processed only in accordance with the applicable laws including Information Technology Act, 2000, and the corresponding rules framed thereunder, more specifically the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and the Privacy Policy contained herein.
- You have the choice to use your social media accounts like Facebook or Google to login to DhanSaarthi (“Social Login”). If you choose Social Login, DhanSaarthi will have access to your name and email address only.
- We collect technical data about your interaction with the Services.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Your email address and phone number is used to send you updates regarding the Services. You can select what communication you'd like to receive from us by modifying your account settings after you login to your account.
- We may also use your information to verify your identity in the event you contact us for assistance with the site or Services.
- We also use your information to retrieve KYC compliance and conduct other checks as may be required by regulatory authorities and facilitate and authorise transactions or requests made by you by sharing the information with the corresponding AMC / RTAs.
- We use cloud-based software tools to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include, maintaining databases and servers, review and enhance our functionality, processing text messages, phone calls, chats and emails, and marketing and sales analytics.
- We further confirm that all personal information/ data collected is/shall be used for intended lawful purposes including but not limited to internal monitoring and compliance, administrative processes and/ or statutory compliance with applicable laws.
- We use all the collected data for the following purposes and the same is subject to changes/ amendments as per the requirements of applicable law from time to time:
- i. Respond to your queries about the Services;
- ii. Deliver to you any notices, alerts, or communications relevant to your use of the Services;
- iii. Offer you other products or services that we believe may be of interest to you. You have the option to opt-out of receiving such communication;
- iv. Aggregate the anonymised information from registered users to perform market research, project planning, product development, troubleshoot problems, analyse user behaviour, marketing purposes, and promotions; and
- v. Enforce this Agreement and any terms thereof.
4. Disclosures
DhanSaarthi has taken best and reasonable steps to ensure prevention of any unauthorised disclosure of your sensitive personal information and disclosures shall be made in the following situations:
- a. Disclosure for regulatory compliances: DhanSaarthi will share your information with judicial, administrative and regulatory entities to comply with any legal and regulatory requirements. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information in the scope and in situations where we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, to report suspected illegal activity, comply with judicial proceedings, court orders/ statutory or regulatory orders or decisions, or legal process served on us/ our website.
- b. Disclosures with your prior consent: If, at any time, you choose to utilise the integrated services of our Service Providers through us, we will share your information with these Service Providers with your prior consent.
- c. Disclosure for provision of Services: DhanSaarthi will share your information with Service Partners or Vendors of DhanSaarthi as necessary for the provision of Services. Authorized Service Partners and Vendors are bound by the same standards of data security practices and procedures as we are under law and contract. They are subject to the same penalties as we are for the unauthorised disclosure of your personal information.
5. Access Your Information
Your personal information is yours. Under Indian law, you have the right to ask us for a readable copy of all your personal information stored with us and to withdraw the consent provided. 6. Security Practices and Procedures
- DhanSaarthi follows industry best practices, using open and known principles when transferring and storing your data. The following measures have been undertaken to ensure the confidentiality of your information.
- i. We have employed physical, electronic and administrative safeguards such as firewalls, data encryption, SSL and other up-to-date technologies.
- ii. We do not share, sell or lease out user Information with third parties excepting the ones which work on behalf of the company and facilitates user services.
- iii. The user accounts are protected with encrypted passwords to avoid unauthorized and unlawful access or practices.
- iv. We use cookies only for technological advancements and not for tracking user information or behaviour.
- No security measures, however, are 100% complete. Therefore, we do not promise and cannot guarantee, and thus You should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will not be collected and used by others. You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, phone, and computer by, among other things, signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a robust password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private. We are not responsible for the unauthorized use of Your information or for any lost, stolen, compromised passwords, or for any activity on Your account via unauthorized password activity.
- We believe the biggest threat to the security and privacy of your data is if someone – probably someone you know – gains access to any of your devices. Remember to keep your password safe and secret to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
- If you think that the security of your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us immediately for further assistance. 7. How Your Information is Transmitted
Your data is transmitted between your device and our servers using HTTPS protocol for encryption. HTTPS is the technology used to create secure connections for your web browser and is indicated by a padlock icon in your browser.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is published on the application/website in compliance with Regulation 4 of the (Indian) Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011. We update this Privacy Policy periodically and we may modify the terms of this policy without prior intimation. It is your responsibility to periodically review the terms of this policy and if you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy or any changes made to this policy, please stop using all Services immediately and write to us at the address mentioned above.
9. Google Mandated Disclosure
If you authorise Google to fetch the electronic Consolidated Account Statement from your email and send it to DhanSaarthi, the following disclosure is applicable: " DhanSaarthi’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
10. Third Party Websites / Links
We neither monitor nor supervise the third party links which may be provided on our website. The user must employ adequate caution while using the third party links and must do so at their own risk. We hold no responsibility for any loss or damage inflicted to the user for the use of third party links. Accordingly, DhanSaarthi will not be liable for the acts or omissions of any third party. Please check the privacy policies and the terms of the third-party websites before you submit any information to such websites.
